Regular sleep is important for all ages. You might think that you don't need much sleep and that the time you would use for sleep could be used for other, more important things such as catching up on homework, watching a re run of The Simpsons or going out. But, sleep is needed to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
When you sleep, your body recharges. It gives your body to have time for rest. Without sleep your body would constantly be on the go and would most likely "surge" This would make your body more likely to develop a mental or health conditions. Your immune system is improved when you sleep also, your immune system needs to be strong so that it can battle off illnesses such as colds and infections. Sleeping also improves your memory and decreases your chance at developing a mental illness. It helps your memory because a well rested night makes your body more alert, giving you better concentration and memory. Lack of sleep can give you a risk of developing a mental illness as your body/brain needs sleep to be able to function properly. Without sleep you can suffer from confusion and frustration.
